Clubbing

I am occasionally asked by camera clubs to judge competitions or to do presentations or demonstrations. Sometimes I say yes. Sometimes I say no. But I have a very special place in my heart for my local club - Bridgnorth Camera Club.


Many years ago, the last time I lived in Bridgnorth, I became a member of Bridgnorth CC and thoroughly enjoyed the meetings, competitions, outings and meet-ups, never thinking that one day I would become a professional photographer.


I learnt a lot. And thanks to the kindness and infinite patience of Tim Walter, who had been a member for some years by the time I joined, I was able to hone my developing and printing skills in Tim's darkroom.


Well anyway, I was honoured to have been asked to do a studio lighting demo at this week's meeting - something many of the members don't really do much of (and who can blame them with the wonderful landscapes, wildlife and landscapes on the doorstep). Tim took a few candids of me chatting to members and has kindly sent a few over. Here they are...
