Imagine being paid to watch a great new film! OK, so there was more than a little bit of "red carpet" and event photography involved too but still a terrific night out.
It's not the first time that film producer Nigel Davey has invited me to photograph the screening of the films he's been involved in but this is the first one to be held at the IMAX screen at Millennium Point in Birmingham. "Shamrock Spitfire", a true story about a WWII Irish flying ace, was directed by Ian and Dominic Higgins of Pixel Revolution Films. You can read the brothers' own article about the event here.
I photographed not only the usual cast and crew "red carpet" shots but also the speeches and posed cast line-ups.
