One of my last "Strangetown Shoots" (the series of group model shoots I have been organising for the last couple of years) of 2024 was a "golden hour" shoot at the wonderful Moreton Corbet ruins in Shropshire with the exquisite local model Elizabeth.
With torrential rain on and off all day and very few places to shoot that wouldn't be susceptible to bad weather I did worry that I might need to postpone this event but miraculously, as I drove over to the location, the rain stopped and the clouds began to clear. By the time everyone had arrived, there was beautiful bright sunshine and that crisp clean light that you only see after rain. I'd timed the shoot to make the most of "golden hour" IF we were fortunate enough to have one - and we were.
With only a small group and lots of time, I grabbed hundreds of shots that I was pleased with and I think everyone else attending left with plenty of great images. Elizabeth had gained a well-deserved reputation for her retro/vintage work but frankly, she could model anything.
This is a tiny selection but I'll post more soon.
